The Karachi Port handled 92,394 tonnes of cargo including 84,629 tonnes import and 7,765 tonnes export cargo including 1,378 containers during last 24 hours ending at 0700 hours on Tuesday.

The cargo comprised of 63,394 tonnes dry cargo including 31,489 tonnes general cargo; 5,410 tonnes sugar; 7,870 tonnes fertiliser; 16,680 tonnes coal; 1,945 tonnes rice and 29,000 tonnes oil/Liquid cargo.

Six ships namely Western Muehlen, Selcon, Thor Captain, Helene Selmer, Muhieddine-1 and MT Johar sailed out to sea during the report period.

Six vessels viz Bunga Kenari, Jang Jiang He, Iran Shahryar, Daya Hai, Fiona 7 and MT Shalamar are currently at the berths.

Three ships namely Bunga Kenari, Jang Jiang He and Pacific Sun-II expected to sail on Tuesday, while five vessels viz Pacific Acadian, Iran Baluchistan, MT Shalamar, Hun Jian and Maersk Arizona are expected to sail on Wednesday.

Five vessels viz Maersk Arizona, Apl Cairo, Kota Teraju, Global Tianjin and Iron Butterfly due to arrive on Tuesday, while five ships namely Hyundai Highway, MY Sun, Jade Trader, Iran Yamin and Nan King are due to arrive on Wednesday.

PORT QASIM
A total cargo volume of 60,377 tonnes comprising 47,950 tonnes import and 12,427 tonnes export inclusive of containerised cargo carried in 2,446 containers (TEUs) was handled during last 24 hours ending at 0800 hours on Tuesday.

The cargo comprised of 600 tonnes diesel oil; 9,786 tonnes edible oil; 4,993 tonnes wheat; 2,775 tonnes sugar; 641 tonnes jute and 41,582 tonnes containerised cargo.

MT Difco Hanne sailed out to sea during the report period, while two vessels viz Oocl Authority and MT Bow Pride are expected to sail on Tuesday.

A total of two vessels viz Captain P. Egglezos and Tian Da are currently at the outer anchorage.

MT Akademic Semenov due to take berth on Tuesday.
